The Indooroopilly Electorate

Bio Photos: Ronan Lee at Walter Taylor Bridge

The Indooroopilly electorate is located in Brisbane’s south-west.

Indooroopilly is the only electorate that covers both sides of the Brisbane River. Directly south of the river is Chelmer, Graceville, Sherwood, Corinda and Tennyson.

The northern part of the electorate includes the suburbs of St Lucia and the University of Queensland where Ronan once studied, as well as Fig Tree Pocket, Indooroopilly and parts of Taringa and Toowong.

The recent redistribution of Queensland electorate boundaries made some changes to the electorate of Indooroopilly with the addition of Tennyson (from Yeerongpilly electorate) and parts of Sherwood and Corinda (from Mount Ommaney electorate).

Toowong and parts of Taringa will become part of the Mount Coot-tha electorate at the next State election.
